Aromatherapy
What Is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the practice of using natural plant extracts — usually in the form of essential oils — to support our wellbeing on a physical, emotional, and energetic level.
Plants carry their own unique vibration and healing properties. When we extract their oils, we’re capturing the essence of that plant — its scent, its energy, and its natural benefits.
These oils can be used in many ways. You might diffuse them into the air, apply them to the skin (properly diluted), add them to baths, or use them during massage or energy work. As we breathe them in, the aroma travels through the olfactory system directly to the part of the brain that influences our emotions, memory, and nervous system.
That’s why certain scents can instantly calm you, uplift you, or help you feel more grounded.
In my world of energy work, aromatherapy is a beautiful companion to practices like Reiki. Different oils can support different intentions — grounding oils for the root chakra, calming oils for the nervous system, or uplifting oils when we need a boost in our energy.
It’s a gentle but powerful reminder that nature already provides so many tools to help bring our mind, body, and energy back into balance.
